Gracegarth is the home of The Rev'd Colin and Mrs. Christine Milne. The house - actually bungalow, no steps - is a spacious building set in a large garden. There are plenty of private corners for sitting out, and we are on the edge of the village, overlooking the fields. Ii is a quiet place, a place for relaxation and renewal. The house is used regularly for Quiet Days and for Franciscan and Cursillo meetings.
Gracegarth is now open to anyone who would like to make an individual retreat (direction is available if required), for those seeking a 'quiet time' for contemplation, prayer, problem solving etc., and for those people who simply need an hour, a day or a few days away from the noise, bustle and stress which is the norm for most people today. Drop in for an hour; come for a day; stay for a week - a twin guest room is available. Quiet days for groups of up to twelve people can also be arranged.
The Quiet Garden Trust exists to initiate and resource a network of local opportunities for prayer, silence, reflection and appreciation of beauty; for learning about Christian life and spirituality; and for experiencing creativity and healing in the context of God's love. Gracegarth is open to anyone who wishes to use such facilities.
